A passer of the future in Williams, and a B-, for the Bears. Start where it matters. The Bears took Caleb Williams to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.
That Singer pick is the receipt they will wave around later. Reaching for Travis left real value on the table behind him. The trade table is where this weekend went wrong.
That cornerback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
