Roshi DRAFTING FOR THEBears

Draft Grade — Bears
Overall
B
ValueA-

TradesB-
FutureB-
The steal of the weekend belongs to the Bears and Kiser: B. You could see the war room lean forward. Jack Kiser at slot 233 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.
They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. Running back was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
The dealing was even money, start to finish.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
Pick Analysis
Pick10
Rnd1
Ashton Jeanty
A quiet steal in slot 10: Ashton Jeanty for less than the market said. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick39
Rnd2
Tyler Warren
Somehow Tyler Warren was still sitting there in the 39th pick, and they pounced on premier tight end value. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick41
Rnd2
Tyler Booker
They did well to land Tyler Booker in pick No. 41, just ahead of his grade. It fills a real need, too.
Pick72
Rnd3
Marcus Mbow
The board fumbled Marcus Mbow all the way to the 72nd overall pick, and they scooped it up. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick153
Rnd5
Malachi Moore
A tidy bit of business in pick 153, where Malachi Moore graded well above the range. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick233
Rnd7
Jack Kiser
Jack Kiser in Round 7, Pick 17 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick240
Rnd7
Dante Trader Jr.
They read the board right and Dante Trader Jr. was the payoff at No. 240. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
