The Bears let Gordon II fall into their laps, and walked away with a A-. Call it larceny. Ollie Gordon II sat on the board until pick No. 242, and the Bears did not need to be asked twice. They executed a plan and it shows in the A-.
The Lachey reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class.
They punted on cornerback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The veteran additions, Terence Steele chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.
In the end it comes back to Landon Jackson, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
