After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Bears committed. Caleb Williams is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. They banked enough surplus on Jackson to cover a lot of smaller sins.

The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the interior defensive lineman spot they never got to.
