The Bears won the night they stopped Bowman Jr. from sliding. Grade: A.

You could see the war room lean forward. Billy Bowman Jr. at pick No. 203 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. Add it all up and it grades out a clean A.

They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The Bears paired the rookies with proven help, Frank Ragnow leading the way.

The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.

Bottom line, with T.J. Sanders leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.
