Nobody else had Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson anywhere near Round 5, Pick 8. The Bears did, by 110 spots, and that gap is the whole story.

However the rest shakes out, Simon at that price is a win they earned. Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the interior defensive lineman spot they never got to.
