The Bears cashed the board's mistake on Gordon II: B.

The Bears spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Ollie Gordon II, the No. 168 name on the board, in Round 6, Pick 19. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

The cornerback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. If Tuimoloau pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
