Larceny in slot 152 lands the Cowboys a B+, Freeling and all.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Cowboys were there to profit. Monroe Freeling, the No. 117 name on the board, should have been long gone before the 152nd overall pick. Call it a sensible B+, earned the boring way.

They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. Spending an early pick on safety with quarterback, running back and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
