Draft Grade — Bills
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
More right than wrong for the Bills, and a B- to prove it.

Nobody had Isaac TeSlaa this high, and it is not close. The Bills reached 63 spots to get him at the 177th overall pick.

A whole weekend of picks and offensive lineman is somehow still a want. However the rest shakes out, Amos at that price is a win they earned.

They went 7 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the offensive lineman spot they never got to.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 Walter Nolen
In pick 30 they get a disruptive interior force, and a steal at that. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick56 Rnd2 Carson Schwesinger
They liked Carson Schwesinger enough to skip the value, taking him in No. 56. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick62 Rnd2 Trey Amos
Trey Amos is a better player than the 62nd pick suggests; smart patience, rewarded. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick109 Rnd4 Tory Horton
They took Tory Horton at par in pick No. 109, which is nothing to complain about. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick132 Rnd4 Malachi Moore
Malachi Moore at the 132nd overall pick is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. The roster fit checks out.
Pick169 Rnd5 Oronde Gadsden II
A wild overpay on Oronde Gadsden II in slot 169, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. It fills a real need, too.
Pick170 Rnd5 Que Robinson
They talked themselves into Que Robinson at Round 5, Pick 32, and the board did not agree. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick173 Rnd5 DJ Giddens
DJ Giddens in the Round 5 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick177 Rnd6 Isaac TeSlaa
Isaac TeSlaa in pick No. 177 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick206 Rnd6 Cam Jackson
They reached a country mile for Cam Jackson at the 206th overall pick, and the board is aghast. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
