Overall

FutureB-
Good, not great, for the Vikings: B. The Vikings spent real capital to be 28 picks early on RJ Harvey, and the board is going to hold them to it. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.
The Higgins pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain.
They left with safety solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick Analysis
Pick31
Rnd1
Derrick Harmon
In pick 31 they get an anchor for the defensive front at fair value.
Pick90
Rnd3
Donovan Jackson
Donovan Jackson slipping to pick No. 90 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick91
Rnd3
Denzel Burke
Denzel Burke at Round 3, Pick 27 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the cornerback. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick95
Rnd3
Cam Skattebo
A market-rate running back, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Cam Skattebo. The roster fit checks out.
Pick97
Rnd3
Jake Majors
No drama and no debate, Jake Majors went about where he belonged in the 97th overall pick. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick108
Rnd4
Kevin Winston Jr.
Value with a capital V on Kevin Winston Jr. in the Round 4 slot, a genuine coup. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick131
Rnd4
RJ Harvey
Value said wait; RJ Harvey in pick 131 says they were not listening. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick140
Rnd5
Dorian Strong
Dorian Strong in No. 140 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. A want more than a need, though you can never have too many.
Pick161
Rnd5
Jonah Monheim
Jonah Monheim in slot 161 is fair value, right on his grade. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick203
Rnd6
Jay Higgins
They robbed the room for Jay Higgins here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
