The rest of the league had time to spare on George Gumbs Jr.; the Jets did not wait, grabbing him 55 spots ahead at pick 218. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

That is a cornerback worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
