The Bengals lost the trade table, and the D- tells the story.

There was a run on nobody at that position, and the Bengals started one anyway for Luke Lachey, 37 picks ahead of schedule. The board pushed back all weekend, and the D- is the result.

They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. For all the activity, linebacker went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Monheim falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with cornerback the one that mattered most.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, linebacker very much included.
