Somebody in pick 211 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The 49ers sat still while Dwight McGlothern, the No. 161 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

They are betting Tagovailoa proves the room right and everyone else wrong. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped tight end, which is a strange place to end up. Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
