The Bears torched the value chart for Shilo Sanders, taking him 35 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted. More right than wrong, and a B to match.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. The Watts pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
