Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB- TradesB- FutureB-
No fireworks, just a tidy B- for the Ravens.

Call it belief, call it a gut call, but Akeem Dent at No. 250 is 101 spots clear of consensus, and that is the headline. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

That is a running back worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up. Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.

Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 Chop Robinson
In slot 30 they get a bendy edge with upside, outstanding value to boot. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick62 Rnd2 Javon Bullard
A safety of that caliber at the 62nd overall pick is the definition of value, full stop. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick93 Rnd3 Javon Foster
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Javon Foster. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick113 Rnd4 Johnny Wilson
Johnny Wilson at pick No. 113 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick130 Rnd4 Josh Newton
Josh Newton at the Round 4 slot is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick165 Rnd5 Tahj Washington
Tahj Washington in pick 165 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick218 Rnd6 Jalen Coker
Jalen Coker at No. 218 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick228 Rnd7 Kendall Milton
Kendall Milton in Round 7, Pick 8 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick250 Rnd7 Akeem Dent
Value said wait; Akeem Dent in slot 250 says they were not listening. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
