Draft Grade — Colts
Overall B-
ValueB+ NeedB- TradesB- FutureB-
Larceny in the Round 4 slot lands the Colts a B-, Henderson and all.

Thirty-one other rooms let TreVeyon Henderson slide, and the Colts were the ones holding the card at No. 115. Highway robbery. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

The Lachey pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. For all the activity, wide receiver went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Running back is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. The back end got a real overhaul.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick14 Rnd1 Will Johnson
In pick 14 they get a sticky cover corner at fair value.
Pick45 Rnd2 Malaki Starks
You do not let a safety like Malaki Starks reach the 45th overall pick and blink. They did not. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick80 Rnd3 Luke Kandra
They reached into another round for Luke Kandra, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. It fills a real need, too.
Pick115 Rnd4 TreVeyon Henderson
A top-tier running back at a bargain, TreVeyon Henderson in No. 115, plain and simple. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick150 Rnd5 Smael Mondon Jr.
Circle this one: Smael Mondon Jr. at slot 150 is a fall that decides a draft. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick187 Rnd6 Seth McLaughlin
Seth McLaughlin at Round 6, Pick 12 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick232 Rnd7 Luke Lachey
A real head-scratcher, Luke Lachey in the 232nd pick is miles ahead of his ranking. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
