The 49ers worked the phones like thieves and earned a B. The move everyone will second-guess came early. The 49ers reached some 75 spots for Thor Griffith, and value like that does not grow back.
They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. The Phillips value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
