Draft Grade — Buccaneers
Overall

FutureB-
The Buccaneers checked most of the boxes and earned a B-. There is reaching, and then there is Micah Morris at the 240th pick. The Buccaneers jumped the board by 42 and dared it to prove them wrong.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up. Landing Greene III that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
The offense got the lion's share of the attention.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick Analysis
Pick28
Rnd1
Isaiah Bond
In slot 28 they get a home-run threat at receiver, outstanding value to boot. A real need, handled.
Pick59
Rnd2
Earnest Greene III
Earnest Greene III at pick No. 59 is money in the bank, a offensive lineman taken below his worth. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick90
Rnd3
Kevin Winston Jr.
They paid sticker price for Kevin Winston Jr. in Round 3, Pick 26, and that is fine. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick126
Rnd4
Jihaad Campbell
Nothing to complain about; Jihaad Campbell went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick164
Rnd5
Luke Lachey
They left a pile of value on the table to take Luke Lachey this early at the 164th overall pick. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick240
Rnd7
Micah Morris
Micah Morris at pick 240 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
