If confidence were a draft strategy, the Buccaneers would have aced it. Jasheen Davis at Round 7, Pick 19 is 110 spots clear of where he belonged. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took McCord. The phones were where this weekend was really won. For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain.
