Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Jaguars spent the 248th pick on Jordan Whittington, a name the board had a full 31 spots lower. Good, not great, and the B says as much.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped safety, which is a strange place to end up. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss.

Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.
