49er4eva DRAFTING FOR THE49ers
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — 49ers
Overall
B
ValueA-

FutureB-
The 49ers won the night they stopped Slaughter from sliding. Grade: B. You could see the war room lean forward. Jake Slaughter at pick 92 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.
That running back hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Koziol has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.
Good work on the whole, with running back the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick27
Rnd1
Arvell Reese
In Round 1, Pick 27 they get a sideline-to-sideline linebacker at a price that makes it sweeter. A real need, handled.
Pick58
Rnd2
Caleb Banks
They read the board right and Caleb Banks was the payoff at the 58th overall pick. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick92
Rnd3
Jake Slaughter
They barely believed it either: Jake Slaughter still on the board at the Round 3 slot. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick127
Rnd4
Jaeden Roberts
Jaeden Roberts at slot 127 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick133
Rnd4
Tanner Koziol
Tanner Koziol in the 133rd pick is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick138
Rnd4
Treydan Stukes
Treydan Stukes at pick 138 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick171
Rnd5
Ted Hurst
The board had Ted Hurst higher than No. 171, and the wide receiver fell to them anyway. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
