The Bengals lost the trade table, and the D- tells the story.

Somebody took the Bengals to the cleaners. The deals they made bled real value, and the whole class wears it.

The Elliss pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at cornerback, linebacker and other spots. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped cornerback, which is a strange place to end up.

The Knox pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. Mitchell at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

The verdict is not kind, and fairly so; this class has a hill to climb.
