Somebody in the 209th pick was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Browns sat still while Cam Ward, the No. 50 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped wide receiver, which is a strange place to end up.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with quarterback chief among the fixes.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
