Draft Grade — Packers

The Packers cashed the board's mistake on McCormick: B. Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Packers were there to profit. Mason McCormick, the No. 152 name on the board, should have been long gone before the Round 6 slot.
Nugent has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick25
Rnd1
Jared Verse
In the 25th pick they get a problem off the edge, outstanding value to boot. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick41
Rnd2
Kool-Aid McKinstry
Kool-Aid McKinstry at Round 2, Pick 9 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick58
Rnd2
Michael Hall Jr.
A reach for Michael Hall Jr. in slot 58; a little patience would have been rewarded. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick88
Rnd3
Cole Bishop
They took Cole Bishop at par in the 88th overall pick, which is nothing to complain about. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick91
Rnd3
Ray Davis
Ray Davis in No. 91 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick126
Rnd4
Isaac Guerendo
A conviction pick on Isaac Guerendo at the Round 4 slot that the board grades a round light. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick169
Rnd5
Trevin Wallace
Somehow Trevin Wallace was still sitting there in pick No. 169, and they pounced on premier linebacker value. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick202
Rnd6
Mason McCormick
Mason McCormick at pick 202 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick219
Rnd6
Trey Taylor
Trey Taylor at pick No. 219 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. A want more than a need, though you can never have too many.
Pick245
Rnd7
Drake Nugent
Value said wait; Drake Nugent in pick 245 says they were not listening. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick255
Rnd7
Jalen Sundell
They reached into another round for Jalen Sundell, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
