Larceny in the 46th pick lands the Falcons a F, Walker and all.

The trade table was where it all came apart. The Falcons shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill. A F, plain and simple.

They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it. The cost of the Mukuba reach is exactly the players who went right after him. Getting Walker where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring.

About as rough as a weekend gets on paper, with quarterback still staring back at them.
