A passer of the future in Daniels, and a D-, for the Bears.

The trade table was where it all came apart. The Bears shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill. It grades a D-, and the process earned it.

Jayden Daniels gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits. They will answer for taking OLB-EDGE early while interior defensive lineman and wide receiver went begging. The cost of the Cole reach is exactly the players who went right after him.

Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. However the rest shakes out, Suamataia at that price is a win they earned.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, interior defensive lineman very much included.
