The Bears put a flag in the ground for Kurtis Rourke, 107 picks before anyone else would have, and the value took the hit. It washes out to a C-, no better and no worse.

Drake Maye is the bet, and the class will be judged on how it pays off. They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. With interior defensive lineman unsolved, spending premium capital on DT-EDGE is the choice that costs them.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman.
