Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall D+
ValueB NeedB TradesF FutureB-
Grand theft in the 178th overall pick: the Ravens steal Leonard and grade out a D+.

You could see the war room lean forward. Riley Leonard at slot 178 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. Put together, it is a D+.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. The cost of the Armstrong reach is exactly the players who went right after him.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped cornerback, which is a strange place to end up.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and cornerback is still a hole.

Pick Analysis
Pick27 Rnd1 Nick Emmanwori
Nick Emmanwori at pick 27 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick38 Rnd2 Kenneth Grant
Steal is underselling it; Kenneth Grant at slot 38 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick59 Rnd2 Donovan Ezeiruaku
Donovan Ezeiruaku at pick No. 59 is a conviction pick that outran the value. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick91 Rnd3 Savion Williams
Savion Williams at Round 3, Pick 27 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick176 Rnd5 Oronde Gadsden II
The board fumbled Oronde Gadsden II all the way to the 176th overall pick, and they scooped it up. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick178 Rnd5 Riley Leonard
Taking Riley Leonard in the Round 5 slot is close to grand larceny; a quarterback that good had no business lasting this long. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick185 Rnd6 Tyler Cooper
Tyler Cooper at the 185th pick is money in the bank, a offensive lineman taken below his worth. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick205 Rnd6 JJ Pegues
JJ Pegues in No. 205 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick213 Rnd6 Miles Frazier
Miles Frazier in the 213th overall pick is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick245 Rnd7 Andrew Armstrong
Value said wait; Andrew Armstrong in No. 245 says they were not listening. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
