MLT DRAFTING FOR THECardinals
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Cardinals
Overall

FutureB-
Harden should have been long gone. The Cardinals pounced, and earned a B. The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Cardinals watched Myles Harden slide 58 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. Good, not great, and the B says as much.
That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. They will need Cooper to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick Analysis
Pick4
Rnd1
Marvin Harrison Jr.
In Round 1, Pick 4 they get a true top target at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick27
Rnd1
Amarius Mims
In No. 27 they get a plug-and-play piece up front. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick35
Rnd2
Edgerrin Cooper
Edgerrin Cooper at slot 35 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick66
Rnd3
Christian Haynes
Nice patience on Christian Haynes, who had no business lasting to pick 66. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick71
Rnd3
T'Vondre Sweat
T'Vondre Sweat in the Round 3 slot lands just on the right side of the ledger. The roster fit checks out.
Pick90
Rnd3
Andru Phillips
The board had Andru Phillips higher than the 90th overall pick, and the cornerback fell to them anyway. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick104
Rnd4
Javon Baker
Javon Baker at the 104th pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick138
Rnd5
Javon Solomon
A OLB-EDGE of that caliber at pick No. 138 is the definition of value, full stop. The roster reasoning here is anyone's guess.
Pick162
Rnd5
Jarrian Jones
Jarrian Jones in No. 162 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It is more luxury than necessity; they were already set here.
Pick186
Rnd6
Caedan Wallace
Caedan Wallace at Round 6, Pick 11 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick226
Rnd7
Myles Harden
Steal is underselling it; Myles Harden at pick 226 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
