The Bears spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Dont'e Thornton Jr., the No. 185 name on the board, in Round 7, Pick 16.

For all the activity, cornerback went untouched, which is hard to explain. The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss. They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
