Ryker DRAFTING FOR THERams
Draft Grade — Rams
Overall
B-
ValueB-
NeedC+
TradesB-
FutureB-
A sensible, unshowy class lands the Rams a B-. You can draft well and still miss the point. The Rams did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to wide receiver, which was the need that mattered most. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.
They left with offensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. The back end got a real overhaul.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick Analysis
Pick9
Rnd1
Jermod McCoy
In the 9th overall pick they get a ballhawk on the outside. Need was not the driver here.
Pick31
Rnd1
Anthony Hill Jr.
In slot 31 they get the heartbeat of the defense at fair value. More want than need.
Pick63
Rnd2
Cade Klubnik
They took Cade Klubnik at par in pick 63, which is nothing to complain about. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick95
Rnd3
Austin Siereveld
They paid sticker price for Austin Siereveld in No. 95, and that is fine. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
