Larceny in No. 26 lands the Bills a B, Reese and all.

Somehow the biggest item on the list survived the weekend. The Bills never addressed interior defensive lineman, and it is the kind of gap that lingers. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

The Reese steal is the beam this whole class leans on. They are betting Catalon proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

Linebacker was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.

Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick26 Rnd1 Arvell Reese
In slot 26 they get a coverage-and-run second-level piece at a price that makes it sweeter. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick60 Rnd2 Dani Dennis-Sutton
A tidy bit of business in Round 2, Pick 28, where Dani Dennis-Sutton graded well above the range. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick91 Rnd3 Omar Cooper Jr.
Omar Cooper Jr. at pick No. 91 is money in the bank, a wide receiver taken below his worth. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick126 Rnd4 Jude Bowry
Nothing to complain about; Jude Bowry went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick166 Rnd5 Jaydn Ott
Fair-plus on Jaydn Ott, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick220 Rnd7 Jalen Catalon
They liked Jalen Catalon enough to skip the value, taking him in pick 220. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick228 Rnd7 Tony Grimes
Tony Grimes in the 228th pick is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. A minor need, but a need all the same.
