You could see the war room lean forward. Jayden Maiava at pick 85 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

If White pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
