You could see the war room lean forward. Barrett Carter at the 159th pick is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. The bottom line is a respectable B-.

Every board in the league had Paul Jr. lower, and that gap is the story. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher.

They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
