Draft Grade — Jaguars
Overall B-
ValueB NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
A passer of the future in Sanders, and a B-, for the Jaguars.

The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Jaguars spent their marquee pick on Shedeur Sanders, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.

Loveland falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

They are betting Mullings proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick5 Rnd1 Shedeur Sanders
In the 5th overall pick they get their quarterback of the future at fair value. A real need, handled.
Pick36 Rnd2 Omarion Hampton
A tidy little value on Omarion Hampton in slot 36, a step better than break-even. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick70 Rnd3 Colston Loveland
A tight end of that caliber at No. 70 is the definition of value, full stop. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick88 Rnd3 Harold Fannin Jr.
They robbed the room for Harold Fannin Jr. here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It fills a real need, too.
Pick107 Rnd4 Savion Williams
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Savion Williams at Round 4, Pick 5 is the proof. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick126 Rnd4 Dorian Strong
A clean, defensible pick in the Round 4 slot with a little surplus value in Dorian Strong. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick142 Rnd5 Kalel Mullings
Kalel Mullings at pick No. 142 is a conviction pick that outran the value. The roster fit checks out.
Pick182 Rnd6 Ajani Cornelius
Ajani Cornelius at the 182nd pick is money in the bank, a offensive lineman taken below his worth. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick194 Rnd6 Caleb Ransaw
They liked Caleb Ransaw enough to skip the value, taking him in the Round 6 slot. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick221 Rnd7 Kobe Hudson
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Kobe Hudson in the 221st overall pick. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
