The board owed the Bears one, and it paid up: Sonny Styles, the No. 39 name on the board, sitting there at the 241st overall pick like a gift left on the doorstep. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B+.

For all the activity, cornerback went untouched, which is hard to explain. The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
