Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The 49ers came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.

They will regret leaving running back for another day if the season turns on it. Jackson at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

The 49ers paired the rookies with proven help, Breece Hall leading the way. Job largely done: offensive lineman settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
