The Falcons worked the phones like thieves and earned a B+.

The trade table was a mismatch, and the Falcons were on the right end of it, hauling in a fortune in surplus value.

They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Cowing.

Adding Fred Warner by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies. On the needs board they went 4 of 8, with offensive lineman the one that mattered most.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
