The Seahawks clearly saw something nobody else did in Dont'e Thornton Jr., taking him 32 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. It is not that Fortune is a bad player; it is that the Seahawks had louder needs to answer first.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. Emmanwori falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, edge rusher very much included.
