The phones were a trap the Cowboys kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal. Put together, it is a D-.

They have staked the next five years on Caleb Williams, which is the only story that really matters here. Landing Dixon that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.

They punted on linebacker, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The Thomas Jr. reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even.
