The 49ers cashed the board's mistake on Johnson: A-.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the 49ers were there to profit. Kaleb Johnson, the No. 47 name on the board, should have been long gone before pick 67. It holds up to a second look, which is why it earns the A-.

The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The Walker pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. The trade work was a quiet net positive.

The future picks help the war chest more than the win-now roster.

Add it up and few war rooms did better this weekend, Jalon Walker and all.
