The Saints spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Tyler Warren, the No. 16 name on the board, in the 40th pick. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.

Reaching for McLeod left real value on the table behind him. Leaving cornerback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
