Draft Grade — Titans
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB- TradesB- FutureB-
The Titans won the night they stopped Lane from sliding. Grade: B-.

The Titans did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Jaylin Lane fell into the Round 5 slot. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain. Ingram-Dawkins has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.

They went 6 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. They reloaded the coverage unit in bulk.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the interior defensive lineman spot they never got to.

Pick Analysis
Pick1 Rnd1 Travis Hunter
No drama and no debate, Travis Hunter went about where he belonged in pick 1. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick35 Rnd2 Landon Jackson
A conviction pick on Landon Jackson at Round 2, Pick 3 that the board grades a round light. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick103 Rnd4 Charles Grant
A quiet steal in pick No. 103: Charles Grant for less than the market said. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick120 Rnd4 Dillon Gabriel
A straight-up fair deal on Dillon Gabriel at the 120th pick, value and slot in agreement. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick141 Rnd5 Jaylin Lane
Jaylin Lane in the Round 5 slot is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick167 Rnd5 DJ Giddens
No edge and no loss on DJ Giddens in the 167th overall pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick178 Rnd6 Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins
A reach for Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins in slot 178; a little patience would have been rewarded. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick188 Rnd6 Oronde Gadsden II
By-the-book stuff, Oronde Gadsden II at No. 188 squarely in line with his ranking. It fills a real need, too.
