The steal of the weekend belongs to the Jaguars and Henderson: B+. Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Jaguars came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B+.
Getting Henderson where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick Analysis
Pick25
Rnd1
Brian Thomas Jr.
In slot 25 they get a weapon on the perimeter. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick141
Rnd5
Edefuan Ulofoshio
They jumped the gun on Edefuan Ulofoshio, taking him earlier than his grade liked. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick155
Rnd5
Keith Randolph Jr.
Keith Randolph Jr. in No. 155 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick181
Rnd6
LaDarius Henderson
They robbed the room for LaDarius Henderson here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick195
Rnd6
Christian Jones
Christian Jones in the 195th overall pick lands just on the right side of the ledger. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick211
Rnd6
Jawhar Jordan
Jawhar Jordan slid further than he should have, and Round 6, Pick 36 is lovely value for the running back. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick226
Rnd7
Myles Jones
Steal is underselling it; Myles Jones at Round 7, Pick 6 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick237
Rnd7
Donovan Jennings
Donovan Jennings in the Round 7 slot is fair value, right on his grade. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
