Larceny in the 118th overall pick lands the Lions a B, Ponds and all.

The rest of the league will want that one back. D'Angelo Ponds tumbling to the Lions in slot 118 is a gift they did not have to think twice about.

For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. They will need Daniels to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes.

They trusted the board more than the depth chart.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
