Draft Grade — 49ers
Overall B+
ValueC+ NeedB TradesA+ FutureA
A masterclass at the trade table lands the 49ers a B+.

The 49ers clearly saw something nobody else did in J'Mari Taylor, taking him 43 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced. Call it a sensible B+, earned the boring way.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The 49ers clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.

Pick Analysis
Pick92 Rnd3 Kyle Louis
They did well to land Kyle Louis in the 92nd overall pick, just ahead of his grade. The roster fit checks out.
Pick112 Rnd4 Brian Parker II
Brian Parker II in No. 112 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick127 Rnd4 Michael Trigg
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Michael Trigg in pick No. 127. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick133 Rnd4 Jakobe Thomas
They took Jakobe Thomas at par in pick 133, which is nothing to complain about. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick138 Rnd4 Caleb Douglas
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Caleb Douglas well ahead of where he belonged. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick139 Rnd4 Hezekiah Masses
Hezekiah Masses at the Round 4 slot is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick152 Rnd5 J'Mari Taylor
A big swing on J'Mari Taylor at Round 5, Pick 12, well ahead of any board in the building. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
