More right than wrong for the 49ers, and a B- to prove it.

The 49ers' one glaring miss is wide receiver, a need they left exactly as they found it.

Young has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. However the rest shakes out, Neal at that price is a win they earned. The roster is better shaped than it was, with offensive lineman chief among the fixes.

The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the wide receiver spot they never got to.

Pick Analysis
Pick27 Rnd1 Zion Young
In the 27th pick they get a double-digit-sack hope, reach and all. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick58 Rnd2 Gennings Dunker
Gennings Dunker in pick No. 58 lands just on the right side of the ledger. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick127 Rnd4 Julian Neal
Julian Neal in the 127th overall pick is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick133 Rnd4 Parker Brailsford
A straight-up fair deal on Parker Brailsford at pick 133, value and slot in agreement. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick138 Rnd4 Kaleb Proctor
They paid sticker price for Kaleb Proctor in slot 138, and that is fine. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick139 Rnd4 Oscar Delp
Oscar Delp at No. 139 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the tight end. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
