There was a run on nobody at that position, and the Bears started one anyway for Eric Gentry, 71 picks ahead of schedule.

For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain. On value alone, Stribling makes the weekend a net positive.

Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
