Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall B+
ValueB+ NeedB TradesA+ FutureB
Best value of the weekend goes to the Seahawks for Taylor: B+.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Seahawks were there to profit. Mason Taylor, the No. 102 name on the board, should have been long gone before pick 173. Call it a sensible B+, earned the boring way.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher.

Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick28 Rnd1 Kenneth Grant
In pick 28 they get a run-stuffing presence up front. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick50 Rnd2 Tyler Booker
Value with a capital V on Tyler Booker in the Round 2 slot, a genuine coup. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick57 Rnd2 Harold Fannin Jr.
Somehow Harold Fannin Jr. was still sitting there in slot 57, and they pounced on premier tight end value. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick82 Rnd3 Andrew Mukuba
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Andrew Mukuba at Round 3, Pick 18. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick136 Rnd4 Deontae Lawson
Deontae Lawson at No. 136 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick164 Rnd5 Jake Majors
Jake Majors in pick No. 164 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick173 Rnd5 Mason Taylor
A top-tier tight end at a bargain, Mason Taylor in the 173rd overall pick, plain and simple. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick183 Rnd6 Ricky White III
A reach for Ricky White III in the 183rd pick; a little patience would have been rewarded. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick210 Rnd6 Ar'maj Reed-Adams
A tidy little value on Ar'maj Reed-Adams in pick No. 210, a step better than break-even. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick234 Rnd7 Xzavier Henderson
Xzavier Henderson at the 234th overall pick is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
