The Commanders cashed the board's mistake on Payton: B+.

Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Commanders came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close.

That Payton pick is the receipt they will wave around later. The Foster pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. A whole weekend of picks and tight end is somehow still a want.

The Commanders clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
